Introduction

Located within New Bothwell (home to the famous Bothwell Cheese), this community is envisioned to support a growing population and housing demand. Nadi Group was engaged to provide concepts that will consider and strengthen the greater context of the Town of New Bothwell.

Project Summary

The project is an exploration of three different concepts that are inspired by distinctive community designs of Wildwood Park, Prairie Fused Grid and Village Concept (Clarence Perry’s neighborhood unit). The brief was for each concept to focus on single family housing but include a variety of building typologies and a mixture of parks and pathways.

Pros and cons for each neighborhood type were presented accordingly, culminating in a preferred option that achieves the most ideal quality of life: connectivity, landscape character, safety, and everyday social interactions.

Our Role

Nadi Group developed three different community plans and delivered 2D rendered site plans that illustrates the overall character, circulation, amenities, landscape concept and development yield.
