Sage Creek Village Centre, Manitoba

Introduction

Qualico Communities asked Nadi Group to develop a cohesive Urban Development Protocol for Sage Creek Village Centre in Winnipeg. The client envisioned tree-lined streets, walkways, markets, shops, restaurants and offices; establishing a model community with over 3,000 multi-family housing units and 12,000 square feet of commercial space.

Project Summary

Inspired by small and large-scale commercial design, residential mixed-use developments and a variety of multi-family developments, we created a framework that encompassed over 60-acres of land. Our goal was to create an eclectic style where each unit’s entrance and the facade is different and distinguished from the units beside it. To achieve this, we used a variety of materials and finishes such as lighting, canopies and the use of dominant colors and materials.

Our Role

Nadi Group defined land-use categories, building typologies and street-scape; massing into a cohesive village or architectural expression. Sage Creek has become one of Winnipeg's fastest growing neighborhoods, boasting high standards of livability, walkability and comfort.
