Maritek Bahamas Ltd. engaged the Nadi Group to assist in creating a comprehensive development strategy, master plan, as well as coastal, ecological and infrastructural frameworks. The project included collaborations with the federal government, local and international businesses and investors.
Long Island is geographically a remarkable place with its own unique cultural identity, climate, eco-systems and history. The project intent is to honour these local attributes through the sensitive development of Chrysalis (Hamilton’s Ridge). Taking inspiration from the spectacular natural beauty of this island, the project mandate is to make this special place one of Bahamas most eco sensitive coastal communities. The entire project team believes that Long Island truly is one of the 20-best islands in the world (selected by Islands Magazine).
Nadi Group assembled and led a team of architects, landscape architects, marine biologists, coastal engineers and civil engineers to assess existing conditions and collaborate on best-use techniques and technologies. Providing master planning and development consulting leadership, the firm fused the client’s desire to create a sub-tropical resort paradise that was affordable, ecologically sensitive, and sustainable.
