Houston, Texas, and the surrounding area is one of the fastest growing regions in the US, with a rising need for affordable housing. This project in Conroe, just outside Houston, provided an opportunity to fulfill this much needed housing option.
Involved in all aspects of site and amenity planning, landscape design and conceptual renderings for sales and marketing purposes.
Conroe presented a topographically challenging site for our planning team, along with existing utility and infrastructure to work around. The team was charged with providing an economically feasible community plan while maintaining access to both functional and abandoned oil well sites by large maintenance vehicles. An additional challenge on this project was to maximize the client’s expectations of density while creating a comfortable community for the residents. The client ultimately decided that a mix of larger and smaller lots would make for a welcoming community while servicing an affordable market.
