A private client engaged the Nadi Group to design a new home on their four-acre property in Manitoba. The client envisioned a home built with traditional architectural design, but also integrate visitability standards, which means that the home will meet basic accessibility standards.
One of the most significant parts of our design and planning process was to adapt the house design to become fully accessible inside and out, including a no-step entrances, wider doorways, clear passages on the main floor, internal elevator to the basement, and accessible path of travel to the garage, parking pad and outdoor pool.
We provided a range of architectural concept design services, including grading strategy to ensure basic accessibility, site plan, sketch floor plans and elevations, and coordination of construction drafting package and engineered stamp.
