Colony Square, Manitoba

Introduction

Colony Square, located in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg, is comprised of three towers that surround a spacious semi-private pool and lounge area. Timbercreek Communities retained Nadi Group for a refresh and upgrade of the exterior space, as it was bland and uninviting for tenants to use.

Project Summary

At this time, the gate surrounding the pool was broken, so we replaced the fencing and added lounging areas and shade structures to create a rooftop oasis. Moreover, we replaced the paving in the space and added new site furniture, including aluminum dining features such as chairs and tables, and large umbrellas to provide a reprieve from the sun. We also recommended an assortment of planters to bring color into the space. In the site plan, we also included a bocce ball court. However, it was not constructed in the final phase of the project.

Nadi Group provided landscape architectural services for Timbercreek Communities to create a space where tenants could relax and enjoy the warm Winnipeg summers in the comfort of their building.
